You’ve just taken the reins from Janet Hirst who was a much respected leader in the sector. How would you characterise your own leadership style and what do you hope to bring to the position?

CC: I am an inclusive leader and I like to believe I lead by example.  I am polite, I am thoughtful, I will try to consider issues from a range of perspectives, I will seek to empower my team to be the best they can be, and I will always promote a strong work-life perspective with empathy for family and personal issues that we all face in our day-to-day lives.

Ultimately, as Chief Executive Officer of The Ian Potter Foundation, I hope to continue to present outstanding opportunities for the Board of Governors to consider and, in many cases, support with funding.  I hope to achieve this in two ways.

Firstly, through my own connections and relationships with people and organisations I believe represent outstanding opportunities to support with funding.
